Cancellers the tutors of reality
Keywords:
Cancellation, art, literatureAbstract
This article analyzes the phenomenon of the socalled cancellation of works and artists in recent times. Additionally, it explores the relevance of art in society, the need to grant autonomy to the artist and, consequently, to their work, which implies avoiding subjecting it to ethical, moral, ideological, or any other positions that do not pertain to the artistic field. The role of power toward artists and works is also examined, as well as the role of the fanatic who tries to silence dissenting voices.
