Abstract

This article explores the potential impact of my research project on land access for Zapotec and rural women in the municipality of San Miguel Coatlán, Miahuatlán, Oaxaca, analyzing both its social effects and academic implications within the context of FES Aragón. In a setting where women face legal, cultural, and economic barriers that restrict their fair and equitable access to land, this research, framed by Edgar Morin’s Theory of Complex Though, aims to highlight their experiences and challenges. It examines land access issues as interconnected with broader systems of oppression, including colonialism, patriarchy, and extractivism, which operate at both local and global levels.
